Job Announcement for Scripted Video Editor
We’re looking for a skilled and creative video editor, who is able to produce engaging edutainment videos from audio recordings, editing instructions and B-Roll (stock footage).
We want our videos to be engaging, insightful and educational. While the script (audio recording) is doing the heavy lifting, we need someone who understands the art of bringing the script to life visually. This includes the video edit itself, but also captions and if you can do animations with graphs or other illustrations of educational value that is a plus.
* We’re looking for a reliable team member who is able to keep up with the schedule and meet deadlines consistently.
* You don’t need to have 10 years of experience, but someone with a solid editing background will be preferred.
* Show us what you got! If you are interested, we’d like to see two things from you:
1 - An edit sample. Below you find a link to an XisumaSays video. You can use the audio from the video chapter “Do your own research” from 16:22 - 22:03. This is about 6 minutes of audio. Feel free to edit and cut the audio to make it a concise and informational edit sample (no longer than 5 minutes). Include stock footage (pexels.com offers it for free), captions (to highlight important concepts) and anything else you’ve got to make it engaging, quality edutainment content. Link To Video
2 - Send us links to some references of edits you have done in the past. They don’t need to be edutainment. But if they are, even better!
